Tower tours

Conducted tours up the Tower including the Belfry, (but not the Ringing Cage) run on most public holidays. Group tours at other times can be arranged through the Church Office 01386 552071 or email abbeytours@pershoreabbey.org.uk

KEY INFORMATION

 Tours last between 30 & 40 minutes and cannot be reduced except in an emergency

 Children aged 7-14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No children under 7 admitted

 The maximum number per group is 12 persons plus two Abbey guides

 Suitable footwear is necessary

 No sticks or baggage to be carried, other than cameras or binoculars

 Groups must stay together and follow guides’ instructions

 Behaviour must be seemly at all times

 Tower visitors must not enter any areas marked “No Entry”

 Tours may be cancelled or shortened by the guides for any reason

BE AWARE !

There are about 200 steps, some narrow, steep and uneven; some archways are low; there are very few high viewpoints.

The climb is not suitable for pregnant women, the elderly or infirm. It is not suitable for anyone who suffers from vertigo, claustrophobia, heart or back problems, or any condition which may lead to a medical emergency ( a stretcher will not fit down the narrow spiral stairs.)

You decide if you are fit enough and you climb at your own risk.
